Los Angeles Comic Con | Eric Borden
We’re going to HOLLYWOOD!!!
We’re going Hollywood this month as the Los Angeles Comic Convention is set to celebrate it’s Octoversary, it’s eight annual show in LA.
LACC is one of the big boys, as is expected in a major metro area that also just happens to be the seat of the entertainment industry. I was in attendance a couple of years ago and to say this con is well attended is an understatement. As both a fan and creator this is a fun convention and leaves me torn between manning the booth and checking in with all the creators I want to see.
I’ll be pairing up with David Lucarelli the creator of Tinseltown from Alternacomics. David was gracious enough to let me crash his booth in the Comic Bug Pavilion. It’s always good to roll with other Alterna creators and David and I hit a nice groove after working together at Long Beach. As anyone in the conlife knows it’s good to have someone to cover the booth when you need to do normal human things like eat food. While the buddy system isn’t necessary to survive a con it sure makes life a little nicer.
In addition we’ll get to hit one of my favorite Hollywood pizza places in Stella Barra on Sunset. I’m always going to open with Fresh Burrata and then it’s on to the Prosciutto and Egg pizza. And yep you guessed it…cold beer.
